Job opening

Post-doc position

We have an opening for a 2-year post-doc position with a possible extension by one year. (Contact: t.m.klapwijk at tudelft.nl)

We are looking for a gifted researcher with interest in the development of a new scanning microscope based on THz signals to study quantum materials in which the conductivity is inhomogeneous and often buried under an insulating layer.

In addition we own an Asylum Research Cypher Model AFM with an add-on to carry out Scanning Microwave Impedance Microscopy based on the Primenano cantilevers for GHz radiation.

The research is making use of the recent advances in the instrumentation for submillimeter (THz) astronomy for condensed matter physics. We receive advice from several of our previous students and post-docs at the Terahertz-sensing group at TU Delft (Akira Endo, Jochem Baselmans and Jian-rong Gao), as well as at the SRON Netherlands Institute for Space Research (Willem Jellema and Andrey Baryshev).
